Northern Health GP Advisory Group (Posted October 2023)
Northern Health would like to invite GP’s, Practice Managers and Practice Nurses to register your Expression of Interest to be part of our GP Advisory Group.
The GP Advisory Group is a committee that meets every three months online and face-to-face. The role of the GP Advisory Group is to:
- Build partnerships and facilitate communication between Northern Health and General Practice
- Advocate for General Practice and promote best practice in the development and delivery of Northern Health services
- Provide feedback in order to improve and promote access to Northern Health services
- Identify opportunities for collaboration with all key stakeholders including General Practice, community health services and Primary Health Networks
We are open to EOI’s from local GP’s, Practice Managers and Practice Nurses who work within the Northern Health catchment.

Orthopaedic Spinal Surgery Service (Posted: September 2023)
The Northern Health Orthopaedic Spinal Surgery Service is an elective outpatient only service for patients with spinal pain/disorders that commenced in July 2023. The clinic is staffed with an Orthopaedic Surgeon and Advanced Practice Physiotherapists.
The Orthopaedic Spinal Surgery Service is replacing the previous Neurosurgery Spinal Service that was suspended for new patients in February 2023. We have recommenced this service for new patient referrals with spinal pain/disorders that meet the Orthopaedic Spinal Surgery service criteria.
