Diabetes Australia Research Program Grant Round

In 2025, Diabetes Australia will provide vital funding for diabetes research projects across Australia, including:

  • A limited number of General Grants for 2025 that will be offered to 2024 General Grant Applicants that attained a fundable score following a rigorous competitive peer-review process conducted in late 2023.
  • A new category of Grants – Diabetes Community Priority Grants. Four Grants of up to $100,000 each. Applications open in October 2024. More details to come.
  • Two $150,000 Millennium Awards: one for type 1 diabetes and one for type 2 diabetes. Applications close 31 July 2024.
  • One $150,000 Charles Campbell Coghlan OAM Emerging Researcher Award for an early to mid-career researcher. Applications close 31 July 2024

Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand (HSANZ) Grants and Awards

HSANZ and their charity partners offer a range of HSANZ funded or co-funded PhD Scholarships, Clinical Fellowships, grants and awards annually, biennially and triennially. HSANZ also awards several annual awards and grants associated with the Annual Scientific Meeting: Blood All applicants must be financial Members of HSANZ.

Jack Brockhoff Early Career Medical Research Grants

The aim of the Jack Brockhoff Early Career Medical Research Grants Program is to further strengthen world class research capability in Victoria by helping establish the careers of talented young scientists. The Foundation seeks to help support early-career researchers to demonstrate their scientific originality and their capacity to complete, relatively independently, a discrete study for publication in scientific literature.

RACP Research Entry Scholarships

Research Entry Scholarships provide stipend support only and are to assist Fellows and advanced trainees who are:

  • At the start of their research careers and about to enrol in a Masters, PhD or equivalent research higher degree
  • In the 1st or 2nd full-time equivalent year of their research degree.

RACP Research Establishment Fellowships

Research Establishment Fellowships are available to Fellows and advanced trainees who want to establish themselves in a research career. To be eligible, you must meet one of the two criteria:

  • you’ve completed a Masters, PhD or equivalent research higher degree no more than seven years ago, or
  • you hold a research higher degree and are within two years of returning from working or studying overseas for a period of at least 12 months
