What is the Service?
We provide specialist care for diseases of the lungs and heart that require surgery or intervention.
We provide a weekly outpatient consulting service and inpatient consulting service through our hospital medical staff.
We perform elective Thoracic surgery and procedures weekly. Emergency surgery is available 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.
What do I bring/need for my appointment?
- All recent X-ray images or discs if not performed at the Northern Hospital
- A list of all current medications

Service Overview
We provide all Thoracic Surgical services for consultation and management, including:
- Malignant and benign lung disease
- Pleural disease
- Bronchoscopy
- Pericardial disease
Inclusion criteria:
- Any person over 15 years of age
Exclusion criteria:
- Aged less than 16
